Winter Trail Grooming Report

Valhalla Trail System - Washburn
NCCA volunteers are grooming Valhalla on the Valkyrie Side (East side of County C). USFS volunteers are also grooming the Tueton side to the West of County C.
The Tueton side is groomed for skate and track sking. The Valkyrie side is groomed on the B loop for Classic and a lane on the left is provided for bikes and snowshoes. The C loop is a single track classic grooming.
Both warming houses and restrooms are open. In case of a continued Federal shutdown, please take care to clean up if you use the facilities.
TRAIL Conditions as of 1/30/2019 : Extreme cold has suspended grooming until warm up. It is anticipated that grooming will continue on Feb 5-6.
Trail Conditions as of 2/06/2019: Trails are groomed on both Trail Systems. Snow conditions are good but new snow is expected throughout the week. There will be periodic grooming to firm up the base on the Valkyrie side during the week. Bike trail is rideable, but soft.
Trail Conditions as of 2/11/2019: Trails are groomed on both systems. Including the Snowshoe and biking corridor on Valkyrie B loop.
Trail conditions as of 2/13/2019: The Valkyrie side (N) is groomed and tracked. The C loop has been rolled but not packed and tracked. It needs tonights cold weather to set up. The Bike trail is soft, but snow shoes will work great. The Teuton side (S) is being groomed today and tomorrow so without new snow, conditions should be excellent by the weekend.
Trail conditions as of 2/19/2019;
The grooming machine has been sent for repairs all further grooming is suspended until further notice. Trails are snow covered after a recent 5" snowfall.
Groomer is fixed! As of March 7th all trails are groomed with the exception of the Teuton C loop which has been downgraded to a backcountry trail due to the heavy snow load.
March 21st- Warm weather has terminated grooming for the season at Valhalla. There might be a few more days of good weather to use the trails. Enjoy!

CAMBA - Chequamegon Area Mountain Biking Association. They have over 80 miles of single track, and almost unlimited double track possibilities.
Wolverine Ski Trails - They have some fairly technical single track to ride, using the ski trails to connect.
